JAKARTA – The Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) and the LUG Light Factory company officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding collaboration on the Indonesian smart city at the Indonesia-Europe Business Forum 2023 which was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Jakarta on Tuesday (17/10/2023).

The signing of this MoU was carried out by the Secretary of the NCA, Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya and the Chairman of the board of LUG Light Factory, Ryszard Wtorkowski with the aim of strengthening cooperation in planning, implementing smart city, and smart lighting concepts in the Nusantara.

One of these collaborations is to prepare lighting concepts including smart lighting technology in the Nusantara. NCA Secretary said, LUG Light Factory has various intelligent lighting technologies that can be applied at Nusantara.

"Including using the internet to control the lighting system, besides them there is also a kind of AI (artificial intelligence) which can detect if the weather changes, the lighting adjusts, so it doesn't need to be controlled manually," said Jaka.

Jaka explained that the signing of this MoU was a continuation of the letter of intent and the NCA's visit to the LUG Light Factory in Poland few times ago (25/04/2023).

"We have been in contact for a long time since they came to NCA, then they invited us to see their factory in Poland at the same time we had an exhibition at the Hannover Messe," said Jaka.

Furthermore, the LUG Light Factory company will visit to Nusantara. Jaka hopes that LUG Light Factory can also show proof of concept installed at Rumah Tekno and all rest areas at Nusantara.

Besides that, Jaka hopes that through this collaboration in the future LUG Light Factory can open a factory in the Nusantara. "Insyaallah, it can proceed according to the plans that have been discussed together. They actually have huge market potential," he said.
