PPID IKN Authority

Public Information Access Made Easy, Transparent, and Accountable. The PPID of the Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) ensures that every information request is managed in accordance with regulations, guided by the principles of transparency, excellent service, and public trust.

What is PPID?

The Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) of the Nusantara Capital Authority (IKN) provides digital-based public information services within the IKN Authority. The IKN Authority was established under the mandate of Law No. 3 of 2022 concerning the State Capital. The PPID of IKN aims to implement transparent, accountable, and easily accessible information governance, in accordance with Law No. 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure.

Mission

1.

Provide public information services that are fast, accurate, and accountable.

2.

Ensure proactive information disclosure regarding planning, development, finance, environment, and socio-cultural policies of IKN.

3.

Protect the right to information, as well as privacy and national strategic interests.

4.

Develop an integrated, reliable, and easily accessible digital documentation system.

5.

Enhance the capacity of PPID human resources and public information literacy within the Authority and the local community.

6.

Promote cross-unit coordination and collaboration with stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

PPID

1. Provide public information.
2. Deliver public information services that are fast, accurate, and straightforward.
3. Establish the Public Information Inventory.
4. Conduct consequence assessments and classification of public information with the approval of the PPID leadership, including issuing determinations on information exemptions within the Nusantara Capital Authority.
5. Issue written considerations for every policy to ensure the public’s right to information.
6. Coordinate with Implementing PPID Units in providing public information, maintaining the Public Information Inventory, classifying exempt information, and delivering public information services.
7. Provide written justification for any public information exemptions in cases where requests are denied.
8. Perform redaction or obscuration of public information materials along with providing the reasons for such actions.
9. Develop the competencies of information officers to enhance the quality of public information services.
10. Prepare and submit Public Information Service Reports to the PPID leadership.

Implementing PPID Units

1. Assist the PPID in carrying out its responsibilities, duties, and authorities.
2. Implement technical policies on public information services as established by the PPID.
3. Consolidate processes for the storage, documentation, provision, and delivery of public information.
4. Collect public information documents from Information Service Officers within public institutions.
