USTDA Collaborates with the NCA to Organize Nusantara Procurement and Project Management Training Workshop

JAKARTA - In an effort to strengthen infrastructure and smart city services in Nusantara, Prof. Ir. Mohammed Ali Berawi, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., Deputy Head of Green and Digital Transformation at the Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA), opened the Nusantara Procurement & Project Management Training Workshop at the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta on Monday, (04/03/2024).

This workshop discusses best value procurement, a procurement system that considers quality and expertise factors in addition to price, for the development of infrastructure and smart city services in Nusantara.

Planned as a smart city, Nusantara leverages the latest technological advancements in various fields as the basis for city development. This is aimed at creating a holistic ecosystem to address various aspects of urban life by utilizing various smart city domains.

These domains include smart governance, transportation and mobility, smart living, natural resources and energy, smart industry, human resources, as well as smart environment and infrastructure. In addition to these six domains, Nusantara has established 21 sub-domains and 67 smart features to enhance Nusantara.

"The Nusantara Procurement & Project Management Training Workshop reflects USTDA's commitment to supporting the success of Nusantara's development. This 3-day workshop will introduce IKN and 11 other government agencies to best practices in procurement and project management to optimize high-quality infrastructure for Nusantara," said Nicole Cohen, Global Program Manager at USTDA.

The Nusantara Procurement & Project Management Training Workshop aims to introduce best practices on a global scale for procurement and project management. The series of topics focused on in the discussions include project management, public-private partnerships, sustainable procurement, and smart city development.

"This workshop strengthens the essence of knowledge exchange for Nusantara's growth. Our partnership with the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is evidence of our commitment to enhancing the capabilities of the NCA. This workshop is not just an event but a foundation for our shared vision to advance and promote Nusantara," said the Deputy Head of Green and Digital Transformation at NCA.
