The NCA Participates in Hannover Messe 2024, Driving Investment Cooperation for Sustainable Development

HANNOVER - The Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) once again participated in one of the world's largest and most important trade and industry exhibitions, Hannover Messe, held in the city of Hannover, Germany, from April 22nd to 25th, 2024.

Hannover Messe 2024 carries the theme "Energizing A Sustainable Industry," involving various companies in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical and digital industries, to energy industries. Notably, this year's Hannover Messe was attended by more than 4,000 exhibition participants from 60 countries.

Apart from showcasing the current progress of development and investment in Nusantara, the NCA also aimed to explore potential new investors. This is a continuation of Nusantara's participation in the previous Hannover Messe.

"This is the second time NCA has participated in Hannover Messe. In addition to following up meetings with several potential investors at last year's Hannover Messe, this time we will also explore cooperation potential with several investors related to appropriate technology in the transportation and environmental fields," said Secretary of the IKN Authority, Achmad Jaka Santos Adiwijaya, during the exhibition.

With the theme "Energizing A Sustainable Industry," Hannover Messe 2024 becomes an appropriate platform for the NCA to interact with investors who prioritize sustainable development.

"As we know, NCA has a concept as a Smart Sustainable Forest City where we will build a city by applying environmentally friendly technology, therefore, Hannover Messe which this year raises the theme of energy transition is the right moment for us to maximize cooperation opportunities with investors who can support the concept of Nusantara," added Jaka Santos.

On the first day of the exhibition, the Indonesian Pavilion was opened by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita. In his speech, the Minister of Industry emphasized, "Indonesia has a strong commitment to preserving the environment and achieving significant milestones. By 2025, 23% of energy will come from renewable energy sources."

Previously, the opening event of Hannover Messe 2024 was held at the Hannover Congress Centrum on Sunday (04/21/2024). On that occasion, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz emphasized the importance of energy transition. "The era of fossil fuels will soon come to an end. This means the industrial process must also undergo changes," said Olaf.

Accompanying the Secretary of the NCA were the Head of the Finance Bureau, BMN, and ADP Muji Budda'wah; Director of Environmental and Disaster Management, Onesimus Patiung; Urban Mobility Expert, Resdiansyah; and Expert in Cooperation and Creative Economy, Panji Himawan.
