ASTANA - In the agenda of the 25th Astana City Celebration with the theme "The City of The Future", Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation of the Authority of the Capital of the Archipelago (OIKN) Prof. Mohammed Ali Berawi attended the smart city panel session entitled Digital Transformation of Cities: Innovative Projects, Programs and Technologies. The event was a panel session attended by:

- Kanys Tuleushin, First Deputy Minister of Digital Development, innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
On this occasion, Prof. Ali Berawi emphasized the importance of forming a smart city formed through a user experience approach which is then clustered into 6 sectors, namely the governance sector (governance), the transportation and mobility sector (transportation and mobility), the lifestyle sector (living), the natural resources and energy sector (natural resources and energy), the industry and human resources sector (industry and human resources) and the built environment and infrastructure sector (built environment and infrastructure). In addition, Deputy Prof. Ali also stated that the development of IKN was carried out with the principle of building hardware, software and brainware for enterprise architecture as the basis for information and telecommunications systems packaged in the Blueprint of Nusantara Digital Transformation book. In the field of smart buildings, Prof. Ali also emphasized the importance of the Nusantara Smart Building guideline to provide direction for standardized smart building development.
Apart from infrastructure, Prof. Ali also provided a perspective on the importance of human resource development in the establishment of a capital city with a smart city concept. "In addition to the development of physical systems, we also accelerate human resource skills in the archipelago with various community empowerment programs including coding mom, disabled coding, and solar mom which can increase digital literacy and environmental sustainability literacy to the community," said Prof. Ali.
Another panelist, Kanys Tuleushin, provided a perspective that currently e-government plays an important role in shaping the business ecosystem. In Kazakhstan, 82% of its regions are already covered by digital transactions and are currently heading towards a workwide cashless economy. This was also supported by a statement from the private sector who was also present to enliven the discussion on smart cities, Pavel Koktyshev. Pavel Koktyshev explained that in the formation of a country's capital, the role of techpreneurs is crucial in maintaining the flow of funding acceleration. "smart ecosystem is where life meets creativity and tech".
The event, which was attended by more than three hundred audiences with dozens of governors and C-level businesses from various countries, received warm enthusiasm from various participants and triggered further collaborative discussions related to technology in smart cities.
