NUSANTARA- The Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) held the Phase 5 Groundbreaking on February 29 and March 1, 2024. In Phase 5 Groundbreaking, strengthening will be carried out in the financial, telecommunications, public services, and smart city sectors. This progress is evidence of the NCA’s commitment to continue building NCA according to targets, making Nusantara ready to operate for the Independence Day Ceremony on August 17, 2024.      

Deputy for Financing and Investment of the NCA, Agung Wicaksono, stated that after the elections, investments will continue. "We are ready for the next groundbreaking in the next 1-2 months. If the theme now is banking and smart city, for the next theme, we will see what services need to be developed, and currently, we are continuing to process investor interest," he said      

In the banking sector, groundbreaking will be done by four banking companies (three state-owned banks and one local private bank from Kalimantan): Bank Mandiri, BRI, BNI, and Bank Kaltimtara. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) will also sign a cooperation agreement with the NCA for the location where the OJK building will be constructed in the future. Agung added that a financial center area will also be built in the Development Zone 2 (WP 2) in the future.      

Furthermore, the Phase 5 Groundbreaking will also focus on the telecommunications sector, with Telkom Indonesia building the Telkom Smart Office, marking the construction of basic services such as fiber optics. TVRI will also build a Nusantara mini studio that will broadcast information about Nusantara to the entire Indonesian community.      

The NCA will also launch the Nusantara Command Center, a control center that will monitor activities in Nusantara. Specifically, the Nusantara Command Center will begin monitoring the development of the Nusantara construction and will be located in the Construction Worker Residence (HPK).      

In Phase 5 Groundbreaking, BPJS Kesehatan will also build its service office to promptly serve the future residents of Nusantara. The Phase 5 Groundbreaking further demonstrates the progress of Nusantara in 2024, a year full of historical momentum.      

Special Staff for Public Communication/Spokesperson of the NCA, Troy Pantouw, also added that the groundbreaking is a form of the continuity of Indonesia's transformation through the construction of Nusantara and the high investor interest in this project. "In addition, the committee for the 2024 Indonesian Independence Day is also preparing, including personnel such as Paskibraka and security. They are getting ready to welcome this moment," explained Troy.
