NCA Establishes Collaboration with Canberra Authority, Agrees on Commitment for Capital Development Cooperation

JAKARTA - In an effort to develop collaboration and share knowledge, the Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Canberra Capital City Authority of Australia (The National Capital Authority of The Commonwealth of Australia).

"This is a new achievement for us (NCA) to collaborate with the Canberra Capital City Authority. We hope that in the future, the exchange of knowledge can occur for specific aspects owned by both cities," said Bambang Susantono, Chairman of the NCA, at the Australian Embassy in Jakarta on Tuesday, (27/02/2024).

Sally Barnes, CEO of the National Capital Authority of Australia, is enthusiastic about the collaboration with the IKN Authority. "The development of Nusantara with a sustainable and green concept is an attraction in the 21st century and will undoubtedly receive a lot of support from the wider community, including us," said Sally.

Sally also added that she hopes to learn a lot about sustainable and smart development proclaimed by the Nusantara Capital City.

Similarly, Deputy Head of Mission at the Australia Embassy for Indonesia, Steve Scott, sees that the collaboration between the two countries will be mutually beneficial, considering that Indonesia and Australia have collaborated in various fields.

"Australia is committed to supporting sustainable development efforts and environmental conservation carried out by Indonesia. In addition, we also hope to be able to build educational institutions, such as the Central Queensland University in Balikpapan," said Steve.

This collaboration includes the development, promotion, and fostering of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two parties. Canberra, with its urban planning and management, is considered capable of being a development partner for Nusantara.
