Chairman of the NCA Groundbreaking of LPS Office Further Completes the Economic Institution Ecosystem in Nusantara

NUSANTARA - The Chairman of the Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA), Bambang Susantono, accompanied President Joko Widodo during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Arthadhyaksa Building, the office of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), in the Nusantara area, East Kalimantan, on Wednesday (17/01/2024). The groundbreaking of the LPS office further completes the ecosystem of economic institutions in Nusantara.

"This office will complement the ecosystem of economic institution offices in Nusantara because it is located in the same area as BI (Bank Indonesia), which had its groundbreaking ceremony some time ago, and will soon be followed by OJK (Financial Services Authority)," said the Chairman of the NCA.

Therefore, Bambang Susantono welcomed the start of the groundbreaking for the LPS office. According to him, the commencement of the construction of the LPS office will also increase public and business trust.

On that occasion, President Joko Widodo expressed that the groundbreaking of the LPS office will enhance the confidence of the public, business world, and investors.

"If LPS has started, it means that others will surely believe that this capital will soon be realized, increasing the sense of security for the public, businesses, and investors," said the President.

The President mentioned that the construction of the LPS office complex will be carried out gradually, starting from the main building to its supporting facilities.

"The first phase will build the main building, which is the operational center of LPS. The second and third phases will be continued with the construction of two other buildings and their supporting facilities," Jokowi explained.

According to the Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners, Purbaya Yudha Sadewa, the LPS office complex will be built with a green concept. "LPS has been designed to maximize energy efficiency and reduce global warming," said Purbaya.

Additionally, in the architectural concept of the city, the LPS office is part of the Economic Institution Zone along with the offices of Bank Indonesia and the OJK.

"The second concept is connectivity and the sustainability of green areas, which is a concept that connects between areas by optimizing green open areas between office complexes in Nusantara," said Purbaya.

Furthermore, Purbaya explained that the LPS office also applies the concept of smart and sustainable mobility. "This is a concept to support the sustainability of public transportation, where the LPS office is designed as a crowd catchment area because it is close to transportation points in the office and government institution area in Nusantara," he said.
