NUSANTARA– Chairman of Nusantara Capital Authority Basuki Hadimuljono, expressed his appreciation to six banks that have become pioneers in the development of banking services in the Nusantara Capital City (Ibu Kota Nusantara/IKN) area.

These six banks are expected to begin construction in 2025 and start operations in 2026. The banks include Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI, BTN, Bankaltimtara, and BCA.

During the Nusantara International Partners Visit 2025 event held at Beranda Nusantara, Nusantara, on Thursday night (February 13, 2025), Chairman of Nusantara Capital Authority emphasized that the government has allocated a budget to develop the basic infrastructure in the banking area.

“InsyaAllah, by the time you operate, there will be roads and the Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT) including water and other utilities. The budget of IDR 4.2 trillion for infrastructure that passes through the investment area has already been approved, and it has not been blocked. The groundbreaking has already taken place. Thank you all, and hopefully, we can build Nusantara together as planned,” Basuki stated.

In the same event, the Deputy for Funding and Investment of the Nusantara Capital Authority, Agung Wicaksono, also expressed his appreciation to the pioneer banks.

“The role of banks will be very important. Thank you for becoming pioneers in the banking sector, or what we call the Pioneer Financial Center Area in the 1B Government Core Area (Kawasan Inti Pusat Pemerintahan/KIPP), which will be realized by 2026,” Agung said.

Agung also invited the delegations from allied nations' embassies to begin constructing their embassy office complexes in the diplomatic compound area located in KIPP 1A.

“We are currently in the KIPP 1A area. This area is important as it is part of the diplomatic complex. In the future, this diplomatic complex will become a hub for activities and diplomatic relations, and we invite your countries to participate in developing in this area,” Agung concluded.
