NUSANTARA - The 79th Independence Day Ceremony of the Republic of Indonesia has been successfully held. This event left a significant impression on the invited guests who were able to witness the ceremony firsthand, both in the New Capital City (Nusantara) and at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta.

Minister of Public Works and Housing/Acting Chairman of Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA), Basuki Hadimuljono, expressed his pride in the ceremony held at Nusantara in a statement released via the official Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel.

"As soon as the troops arrived, I was already in tears, realizing that we were able to carry out this event. I am deeply grateful that our collective efforts have enabled us to realize the President's vision and mission for the nation's future development," Basuki stated.

The ceremony at the New Capital City also brought new hope to the local community around IKN. Maihartati, a small business owner selling goods at the Nusantara Rest Area, expressed her happiness with the public viewing event organized by the NCA at the Rest Area.
