JAKARTA – The Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) together with Katadata officially launched the collaboration "Green Movement: Nusantara Green Belt" at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta on Tuesday (26/9/2023). The Nusantara Green Belt is a joint action in the form of planting and caring for trees as well as empowering local communities. This action was initiated by Katadata Green, a unit within Katadata that focuses on environmental issues and green issues.
The launch of the Nusantara Green Belt Collaboration will be located on 256 thousand hectares of land in the Nusantara designed to be a modern smart city that carries the concept of sustainability.
For the first stage, this action will be carried out in the capital city of the Nusantara, to be precise, Pemaluan Village, Sepaku District, Regency of North Penajam Paser, East Kalimantan. It is targeted that 10 thousand trees will be planted in the area.
The launching procession of the Nusantara Green Belt collaboration was given symbolically, namely the handover of trees from the Co Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Katadata Indonesia Metta Dharmasaputra to the Head of the NNC Authority Bambang Susantono.
"Hopefully this will be a good initiative, maybe in late November or December we will go to Nusantara to kick off tree planting there. We hope this will continue to develop not only in Nusantara, but also other regions," said Metta.
On the same occasion, Benih Baik Founder Andi F. Noya expressed his gratitude for being able to be involved in this collaboration.
"I feel honored to be able to collaborate for the good of our children and grandchildren in the future, this is our shared responsibility. Hopefully this collaboration will be an important momentum for us to reduce negative impacts and see the positive side, so that one day our children and grandchildren will get the benefit from what what we are doing today," said Andi.
Chairman of NCA Bambang Susantono welcomed this initiative. He hopes that this collaboration can spark various other good collaborations. "I hope this movement will be like a snowball, namely that it will get bigger and bigger over time, and this is for the good of all of us," he said.
"I hope that the Nusantara Green Belt will be a unification for all of us, to build the Nusantara together," said Bambang.
In this agenda, the Bambang Susantono, also conveyed the progress of the Nusantara development "The Presidential Palace is running on the track, yesterday when the president arrived he saw directly the location of the presidential palace and the presidential office which, insyaAllah, will be the venue for the August 17th, 2024 ceremony," said Bambang.
Then he added "All utilities will go downstairs so there will be no more accidents because we will plant the cables above all the electrical cables, fiber optic cables in the ground," said Bambang.
Also present at this activity was the Chairman of the NCA Authority Bambang Susantono, Co Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Katadata Indonesia Metta Dharmasaputra, Founder of Benih Baik Andi F. Noya, Ceo Jejakin Arfan Arlanda along with staff.
