Development of Nusantara Continues to Progress, Investment Reaches IDR 51,35 Trillion

NUSANTARA – The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, once again led the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase VI of the Nusantara Capital City development. The event took place over two days from June 4 to 5, 2024, and was attended by various investors from different sectors. The significant progress in Nusantara infrastructure development showcases optimism in achieving the set targets.

 

During this Phase VI groundbreaking, five business entities from the education and research sectors and three supporting business entities participated, with a total realized investment of IDR 1.75 Trillion.

 

In the education and research sector, groundbreaking was conducted for Bina Bangsa School, an International School & Sport Center, with an estimated investment of IDR 150 Billion on a 1.88 Ha land. Additionally, Gunadarma University, with an International Doctoral Program in collaboration with several universities from countries like France, Slovakia, and Sweden, also broke ground with an estimated investment of IDR 75 Billion on a 2.45 Ha land.

 

Moreover, Al-Azhar Summarecon Nusantara Islamic School, with an estimated investment value of IDR 150 Billion, will offer education levels from elementary to high school. This modern, environmentally-friendly building will include sports facilities, laboratories, and a multipurpose hall on a 2.9 Ha land.

 

Next, a collaboration between Pertamina and Bakrie Group will establish the 'Nusantara Sustainability Hub' Sustainable Energy Research Center in Nusantara with an estimated investment of IDR 197.8 Billion on a 2.4 Ha land. This research center will feature various facilities such as the Pertamina Sustainability Academy, Pertamina Training Institute, and the Pertamina Research and Innovation Center for Sustainable and Low Carbon Technologies. Additionally, a Botanical Garden by the Nusantara Consortium is set up on a 222.92 Ha land, with the estimated investment yet to be determined.

 

In the supporting sector, groundbreaking was conducted for the Arena Lifestyle F&B with an estimated investment of IDR 100 Billion on a 0.84 Ha land. Furthermore, PLN Icon Plus established the Central Telecommunication Office with an estimated investment of IDR 1 Trillion on a 1.3 Ha land. BTN also established a banking office and signed a memorandum of understanding for a mortgage program with an estimated investment of IDR 86 Billion on a 0.9 Ha land.

 

The success of this Phase VI Groundbreaking is due to the contributions of investors who continuously support infrastructure development in Nusantara. The strong interest and seriousness of the investors have driven significant development.

 

During this event, the President was accompanied by the Minister of Public Works and Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, who currently serves as Acting Chairman of Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA); Deputy Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning, Raja Juli Antoni, as Acting Deputy Head of NCA; NCA Curator, Ridwan Kamil; and other ministers. Together with the investors, they synergized to realize tangible development towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.

 

"Investment in Nusantara continues towards the set vision with accelerated development programs ensured. This Phase VI Groundbreaking demonstrates the continuity of investment in IKN, with investor interest continuously processed until it becomes a tangible development," said Agung Wicaksono, Deputy for Funding and Investment of the NCA.

 

This Phase VI Groundbreaking is expected to contribute significantly to realizing Nusantara's vision and mission as a green and smart city. With support from various parties, this development will not only meet high environmental standards but also integrate advanced technology to create a sustainable and innovative city. This achievement is a crucial step towards transforming Nusantara into a symbol of Indonesia's progress and modernity in the future.
