Civil Servants Experienced Working in Nusantara Through the ‘Work from IKN’ Program

NUSANTARA– The Nusantara Capital Authority (NCA) once again hosted the ‘Work from IKN’ (WFI) program, involving 33 civil servants from the Attorney General's Office, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the State Secretariat of Indonesia. This edition of the WFI program was held in two batches: Batch II from June 24th to 28th, 2024, and Batch III from July 1st to 5th, 2024.

The aim of this initiative is to provide civil servants with the opportunity to experience working in Nusantara firsthand, giving them a direct feel of the working atmosphere and supporting the development of Nusantara as a part of Indonesia's vision of sustainable, smart, and green city.

WFI also offered participants the chance to stay at the Construction Workers Housing (HPK) to observe the daily activities of the construction workers.

In addition, to support the green city concept, participants stayed and worked at the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF) in Samboja, which is within the Nusantara delineation area. This was designed to raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation and biodiversity amidst ongoing physical development.

IGA Krisna Murti RS, Head of the Planning, Organization, and Cooperation Bureau of the Nusantara Capital Authority, expressed hope that this initiative would raise awareness among civil servants about the reality of Nusantara's development.

“Facilities are still limited now, but construction is ongoing. We hope that this program increases our awareness and enthusiasm for moving here (to Nusantara) soon,” Krisna stated.

Rudi, a participant from the Attorney General's Office of Indonesia, shared his impressions after staying at HPK, "I'm glad to experience what the construction workers in Nusantara are going through. This is a valuable opportunity."

He added that the provided accommodations were quite comfortable with good access to clean water, hoping this serves as motivation for the workers to complete the development in Nusantara.

Kiki, another participant from the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia, expressed readiness to move to Nusantara. "I'm more confident after seeing firsthand that several office buildings are nearly completed. I hope they finish on time so that daily facilities are complete when we move," she remarked.
